Our Mission:
As an organisation, TForm have a number of aims and objectives we try to meet on a regular basis. This list is not exhaustive, nor is it rigid. We will and regularly do alter these to meet the requirements and general evolution of TForm.
Online:
• TForm aims to always provide a safe, online community for members to engage with one another, giving support, receiving support or just generally chatting with other people who have similar interests.
• TForm aim to ensure that the safety aspect of our forum is enhanced by reviewing as far as is reasonably practicable, every registered member. This is to ensure that our forum does not become a place where admirers and other people with sexual intentions can prey on vulnerable members of the trans community.
• TForm aim to keep TForm free, forever. This means that although we are happy to accept donations, registering and using our website will always be free of charge. We believe there are far too many organisations trying to exploit vulnerable transgender individuals and so we aim to mitigate that, at least where we're concerned.
• TForm aim to keep forum members up to date and engaged with relevant news and legislation relating to transgender issues as much as we can and to consult our members on issues important to them.
Offline:
• TForm aim to monitor and convey community issues and concerns to relevant authorities. By doing so, we can keep a constant presense and try to ensure that trans issues are not forgotten or overlooked.
• TForm aim to engage with local private organisations and public sector bodies in relation to transgender issues. Our aim is to continue to ensure that the rights of transgender individuals are upheld and that access to public and private services are not hindered by a lack of knowledge, willing or diversity training.
• TForm aim to promote and raise awareness of transgender individuals at every reasonable opportunity. This may involve using the press and media, attending or arranging events/meets, distributing leaflets and posters, conducting diversity training and engaging with other groups and organisations.
• TForm aim to engage with the transgender community as much as possible and will continue to recruit staff members from across the British Isles to represent TForm in their own communities.
