I wanted a web site like TForm to be a place where like-minded people could help one another out, while being able to find all the information they need in one place. Other sites can be misleading and contradictory as so we wanted the opposite, but most importantly its local. We all have small pieces of information and life lessons that can be passed on to all members.

Its main purpose is an online presence & if trans individuals need a helping hand to take steps into the outside world, then we are here to help. Emma and myself started this project together with that in mind.

I personally have received support during the times that I have felt depressed due to things outside my control, and it helps to have someone else’s unbiased perspective on a problem. True friendship is hard to find, but I can honestly say I have friends here.

TForm is an incredibly important project to me personally. When I started to transition myself, I realised that in my area of the UK, there was very little support available and I struggled to find out even some very basic information.

I met Samantha on a popular photo sharing website and she gave me a lot of support and encouragement right when I needed it. I will always be forever thankful to her, but in the spirit of paying it forward, we wondered how we could carry this on. We were not going to be the last, there were bound to be others needing accurate, relevant support and advice relating to their condition....

.... and so TForm was born. Although we started local to North Wales, we are now slowly developing and spreading our wings across the UK and we have helped a number of people already!

As someone who spends most of her time advocating and studying Human Rights Law and Equality, I believe TForm is an important asset to trans people and I'm very proud of it and the team running it.

First off I would like to welcome you to TForm.

A little about myself. I come from a little corner of N. Wales. I transitioned to full time some 3yrs ago with the blessing of my bestest best friend who is also my wife. 

Along the way I have collected many t-shirts and experiened the good the not so good and the plain old bad things that get thrown our way.

Having met Emms and Sam some time back they came up with the fab idea of setting TForm up which can offer that friendly ear or shoulder to lean on or just have that natter. If it is something I have learnt we all need that shoulder to lean on at some stage. I really do hope you can join and post on TForm, whether it be just to have that natter or just to get that bit of info or pass on your own experience.

The idea of a 'big sister' approach to TForm really appealed to me, and the site Emma and Sam have created is just perfect for that. It was their drive and determination to be genuinely useful to the Trans community that shone through and encouraged me to join. Emma then asked if I wanted to help and become a moderator, which as a budding megalomaniac was great news!

Like so many here I have some experience of the Trans journey. But mine is just one perspective. My own journey is still ongoing, though nearing it's end and I'm happy to share my experiences with others... not that I'm necessarily right, but I always think getting as many opinions as possible is invaluable in smoothing the road ahead, wherever that's leading...
