TForm need volunteers!!

As a voluntary organisation, it's a simple fact of life that we rely entirely on people to donate their own time and effort to the upkeep and advancement of our organisation. TForm have no paid staff, which means that all funds we receive are directed back into the organisation for the benefit of our members and the wider trans community.

Ways to volunteer with TForm:

Fundraising:

Although TForm started out small, we have grown to a stage where the need for funds to continue our work has become apparent. This may be hosting costs, leaflet printing costs, event entry fees, equipment for demonstrations, events and much more. We need volunteers to not only help with fundraising, but to be proactive and help with ideas and the arrangement of them.

Event Organisation and Planning

One of the areas TForm aim to be more active in, is that of local events (on a national scale) and awareness. This involves helping to organise our own events, plan them, fundraise and implement them. As well as helping to source funds, raise sponsorship and to book events, members interested in this kind of work, would also be of great use helping to 'man' the stands.

Design / Media / Promotion

Although we already have an identity, TForm would benefit greatly from people who are able to use their skills to promote our organisation through a varity of outlets. This may include both web and desktop print and newspaper and general media promotion.

Web Team

We are constantly on the look out for responsible members of our own community to help us moderate and control our online community. Of course this is the post we get the most interest in, however it must be pointed out that all volunteers with TForm have moderator status on our community and can access our online staff room.

Area Representatives

Because TForm started in North Wales, but aims to represent the whole of the UK, part of our forum is separated into country wide sections. We are looking for people who would be able to represent TForm in their particular areas. This would include promoting the forum, attending events on our behalf, distributing leaflets, interacting with your local press on our behalf and much more.

Trustees

TForm are working towards becoming a charity. As we do this we will be looking for responsible people with a vested interest in TForm and the Trans community who are willing to have a significant input into the running of our organisation. To become a trustee of TForm would be a big commitment from anyone and so we will only recruit from our currently active members of volunteer staff.
